Grainery coyote.463 viewsJohnS was calling as we looked over this field while sitting against a couple of graineries. Suddenly two coyotes came running around the edge of a bush about 200 yards to our right. JohnS filmed them as they stopped, looked us over, and then ran in as a pair. It's one of my all-time favourite scenes. His video comes out in October of 2006.

Double Beavers473 viewsThis was my first beaver hunt where it was filmed. Got these two beavers with Ken Erickson using my .17HMR. The hunt is featured on the "Hunting with KenC" video on this site. In the film I missed the first shot by about 4" but the next two shots were right on, behind the ears.

Almost too close271 viewsWent out today solely with the intention to try some stalking. This fellow wandered off before I could get set up but came to the Crit'R Call within a minute. Sooo close that I was afraid to move; had to wait until he'd wandered off about 100 yds before I felt comfortable moving away from the video camera and getting behind the rifle.

Stalked fox.179 viewsI spotted this fox in an almost ideal location; there was low land to sneak through and a bit of brush at the fence line where I shot from. I was able to get to within 161 yards--and I got the stalk and shot on video (for my next DVD)!
