15 second coyote192 viewsI had only just got the electronic call going and hadn't even time to put on my mitts before this guy's buddy showed up...and left. A few seconds later this one showed up and I was able to get the kill on film. Minutes later a third was spotted out in the field but it never came close enough.

300 yard coyote473 viewsI let the first of this pair pass by expecting that my partner would be able to shoot it while I focussed on the second. But he couldn't see it from where he was sitting. After I shot the second coyote, I ran to the top of a small hill and shot the first coyote at 300 yards as it was running away.

Ground blind236 viewsI put together this ground blind to help me remain hidden longer as I try to film and shoot. At this spot I had 3 coyotes respond but they were downwind and picked up my scent at about 700 yds.

Double on coyotes441 viewsI was calling when a coyote showed up behind me within a very few minutes. Once I bagged him, I kept calling and about 15 minutes later another showed. The first was a little under 100 yds. but the second was about 300 yds.

246 viewsSome areas where I hunt are very flat for miles and a fox/coyote can easily spot you from a long ways away. I made this deer shield out of cardboard to help me get closer. It worked well. Ken

First of season238 viewsThis was the second of two separate coyotes that responded; the first came and left without giving me time to get the camera on it before leaving so I let it pass. This one paused at about 150 yards after crossing the field behind so I had enough time to track its approach. The ice is broken!

Grainery coyote.464 viewsJohnS was calling as we looked over this field while sitting against a couple of graineries. Suddenly two coyotes came running around the edge of a bush about 200 yards to our right. JohnS filmed them as they stopped, looked us over, and then ran in as a pair. It's one of my all-time favourite scenes. His video comes out in October of 2006.

A fox and two coyotes261 viewsI had just sniped a fox when about 10 minutes later I spotted a coyote in the field. I snuck in an Crit'RCalled. One of these circled downwind before I shot. I turned around and this other one appeared. A good hunt.
